Citizens Academy
Purpose: As a Fire District with a vast amount of coverage and rural population, it is advantageous for us to not only introduce who we are as a Fire District, but also teach basic fire safety to help aid our communities and educate for any interest in the Fire Service.

“Southeast Weld Fire Protection District has recently joined the Northern Colorado Firefighter Recruitment Consortium (NCFRC) with seven other departments in northern Colorado. The network is comprised of departments that serve the northern area to recruit highly qualified, skilled, and diverse individuals who seek firefighter opportunities with both career and volunteer/reserve departments. Using National Testing Network/FireTeam for standardize testing, this allows applicants one location to view which Northern Colorado departments are hiring while giving the departments the ability to work together in a hiring process. This process is on-going, open continuously which allows departments to select qualified candidates when they have positions open. It is highly encouraged you visit www.ncfrc.org to get more information on National Testing Network, view which departments are hiring, and see upcoming testing dates. Southeast Weld Fire Protection District utilizes both National Testing Network and CPAT.
